Very interesting reflections

Well, it’s the end of the project, I’ve been able to read very interesting reflections, points of view I didn’t know, and other things that will accompany me in the future, so I want to thank all those who have participated in this project”.

It has helped a lot during quarantine

It has been a pleasure to be part of this Community. I think it has helped a lot to learn about other people’s experiences during quarantine, and it has made us feel less isolated… I take away many sensations, generally very positive. I also want to thank the
organizers for their effort to make this possible. A hug. 🥰

Sharing so much in such a short time

Delighted with the experience. The whole project seemed very interesting to me, from start to finish. The first face-to-face talk was very enriching, and everything we have shared through this platform as well. You have made me think about issues that I had never considered before, and I have even discussed them with friends and family to hear their points of view. I also wanted to thank all those who participated with their own contributions. It has been a pleasure to share so much in such a short time.

Writing helps bring out what you have inside

A farewell full of gratitude. Many thanks! I wanted to say goodbye in a special way, and what better way than by sharing with you what I thought of this great project. Thank you to the team, because they have done a great job, both with the blog, the organization of tasks, and with this project in general. I have loved participating, it has made me think and realize many things, like that writing helps bring out what you have inside, so hats off. After reading the reflections and texts, I am amazed and fascinated by the ability some of you have to express yourselves in writing, you are artists.

¿What are the beliefs that underpin harmful stereotypes and prejudices among young people?

Commun Methodology:

We employ a qualitative methodology through a Digital Community, with an initial phase of focus groups and in-depth interviews.

  • Communatas Sample: 30 young people between the ages of 16 and 29.
  • Duration: 45 days, including the onset of the COVID-19 quarantine (February 13 to March 31, 2020).

The research was complemented by social media analysis and a national survey conducted in collaboration with Empírica and Two Much.

Social Impact:

The “Deactivate your prejudices. And think again” project, developed in collaboration with Facebook and Fad, aims to prevent and anticipate negative stereotypes in adolescence. Our research has identified the filters that young people face when acting in society. The educational participation-action phase has focused on dissolving these prejudices and empowering young people to become aware of them. The project has impacted over 5,000 teenagers aged 14 to 17.
